Daily maintenance is crucial for ensuring the stable operation and extending the service life of snowmaking equipment. It should be carried out across three stages: pre-operation, during operation, and post-operation.
Before starting up, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the water and air systems to ensure there are no blockages or leaks in the pipelines, and that the nozzles are clean and free of debris to prevent uneven snow output or poor atomization. At the same time, check the air compressor, cable connections, and power protection devices to confirm that the equipment is in optimal standby condition.
During operation, conduct regular inspections of the equipment's operating sounds, vibrations, and snow output to check for any abnormal noises, air leaks, or irregular snow quality. Monitor the ambient temperature and humidity, and ensure the water source is properly filtered to guarantee snowmaking quality. Additionally, check the insulation of the water pipes to prevent freezing in low temperatures, which could disrupt the water supply.
After shutdown, strictly follow the drainage procedure: turn off the water pump first and let the air compressor continue to run for 3 to 5 minutes to use high-pressure air to completely drain any residual water from the pipelines, preventing them from freezing and cracking. Then, clear any accumulated snow and ice from the machine, and inspect the nozzles and filters, cleaning or replacing them if necessary. For long-term storage, thoroughly drain all water, apply lubricating oil to moving parts, and store the equipment in a dry, well-ventilated area.
Furthermore, it is recommended to clean the filters every two weeks and inspect electrical connections and sensors monthly during the operating season. Maintaining a service log helps achieve "early detection and prompt resolution." Scientific and standardized daily maintenance not only reduces the failure rate but also significantly improves snowmaking efficiency and snow quality, providing a solid guarantee for ski resort operations.
